DR. JAY WOHLGELERNTER

Pediatric Ear, Nose & Throat,

Head & Neck Surgery Specialist

Philosophy

Dr. Jay appreciates the importance of both connecting with the patient and maintaining an open dialogue with his/her parents. As a father of five, Dr. Jay strives to relate to the child and parents as he would want a doctor to relate to him and his own children.

Despite being a skilled and accomplished surgeon, Dr. Jay tries to explore all reasonable non-surgical options with parents, reserving surgery for the children who really need such intervention.

Background

Originally from Toronto, Canada, Dr. Jay is the head of the Pediatric ENT Department at Laniado Hospital, Netanya and the nation-wide department head of TEREM Urgent Care Clinic's ENT department.

Dr. Jay studied at world-renowned Mc Master University in Canada. After making Aliyah in 2000, Dr. Jay specialized in Otolaryngology and Head & Neck Surgery at Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital, Jerusalem. Dr. Jay then sub-specialized in pediatric ENT at Rady Children's, the largest children's hospital in the San Diego area. He later returned to Israel when he was recruited by Schneider Children's Hospital as a senior pediatric ENT surgeon, before moving on to head his own unit at Laniado Hospital.
